Bringing years of experience in Constitutional and Public Law to his position, Mr. Kelly Clark is a Partner in the Portland law firm of O’Donnell Clark & Crew, LLP. A consummate advocate of individual rights, Kelly Clark frequently litigates against large corporations; major public and private institutions; and local, state, and federal governments. Mr. Clark is particularly well known for his leading advocacy for victims of child sexual abuse. Kelly Clark has gained national prominence for his work in this field and has won a number of major judgments from the Oregon Supreme Court.

Besides providing his clients with a semblance of closure from their ordeal, Kelly Clark’s crusading work on behalf of abuse victims has led to greater liability for organizations that knowingly allow abuse to occur. Such organizations, deemed “Institutions of Trust,” include the Catholic Church, the Mormon Church, and the Boy Scouts of America, among other large organizations. Kelly Clark’s victorious litigation against the Archdiocese of Portland in 2007 and his subsequent victory in 2008 spanned more than 12 years of court proceedings. Besides his efforts on behalf of child sex abuse victims, Kelly Clark has disputed casino expansion initiatives throughout Oregon, defended individual property rights related to the Oregon Ballot Measure 37 and successfully challenged the issuance of same sex marriage certificates in Multnomah County before the Oregon Supreme Court.

Due to his broad success in the courtroom, Kelly Clark is frequently sought to write articles or speak at engagements on a variety of topics related to Constitutional Law. To this end, Kelly Clark has contributed editorials to publications, including The Oregonian, The Oregon Law Review, and The Register-Guard. Recently, Kelly Clark was selected to give the 2007 Baccalaureate Address to his very own alma mater, Lewis and Clark Law School.

Currently, Kelly Clark resides in Portland. When not working, Mr. Clark enjoys golfing, fly-fishing, and taking photographs.
