Spending his childhood copying cartoons or photos from magazines, Yukio Iraha knew his destiny was for him to be an artist. Having been widely inspired by the pop culture media, in an era of immersion in the over-stimulating and materialistic world, Iraha found himself drawing inspiration and styles from the images around him. In 1989, Yukio Iraha was accepted to Pacific Northwest College of Art in the scenic and urban town of Portland, Oregon, where Mr. Iraha was able to earn his Bachelor in Fine Arts Degree in painting and drawing. All his years of inspirational drawings culminated in earning his baccalaureate degree. After college, Iraha went on to achieve his ongoing passion of being a full-fledged artist. Currently residing in Fairview, Oregon, Iraha is deeply absorbed in every aspect of his artwork. He primarily spends his time researching and sketching new ideas, while conjuring inspiration in every aspect of his life. The scenic redwoods and shorelines that line this western state provide for some uncanny scenic views, sure to provide an abundance of inspiration to any. Yukio Iraha normally does his paintings in acrylics on wood panels, and Mr. Iraha can be seen as an impressionist painter, using deep bold colors to enliven his artistic style.
